Miracles and Me by Vincent Ryan Borres promotional video

This is my recently published book. It's all about the almost fictional things happened to me during my childhood. Some are unlucky events, others are pure stupidity of myself but even after all that, I was still lucky and miraculously survived all the adversities.

Hope you find time to buy the book either eBook which is PDF format or the Paperback copy from Amazon. Just search Miracles and Me or click this link below:

Thank you so much!

Vox BC108 paired with Hotone Siva Boogie

When I first bought this Hotone Siva Boogie, I was really curious as to how loud it can go and also which speaker suits it size and sound. So what I did before was just paired it with my old speakers. One was Celestion Eight 15 and then the other one was from my Park by Marshall Amplification. Just improvised and connect it to this Siva Boogie. It sounded great but it seems like a DIY thing and I think with the 8 inch speaker, it lacks low end.

But then I found this Vox BC108 online and it ticks all the boxes. It small and lightweight, it's also 8 inch speaker and 8 Ohms plus many claims that the low end of this speaker cabinet beats a 1x10 or even 1x12 speaker cab. So I was really curious and wanted to get one to try out. And to my surprise, it is really a good pair for this Hotone Siva Boogie.

Orange Crush Mini paired with Vox BC108

Made a big difference to the sound. It sounded fuller and louder. To be honest it became more bassy. The low end is overly projected.

The Vox BC108 speaker cabinet is lightweight. The hole at the back that serves as handle is not that great because the speaker is not balanced when you carry it or pick it up. It's tilting to the front. Unlike if the carry handle is at the top like a strap, it's more accessible and makes the speaker balanced when you pick it up.

I think when you add a reverb pedal to this setup plus overdrive to push the amp, it will be a perfect portable gear either for rehearsals or busking. When I used my Zoom G1Four, there were good sounds especially when I just use the reverb from Zoom G1Four. Some sounds is more like digital. Don't know if its incompatibility between Orange Crush Mini, Vox BC108 and Zoom G1Four or it's just that the multi-effects pedal is digital and the patch settings was too much.

Will keep you posted soon for more experiment with this Vox bc108.

Best Busking Karaoke Setup

Someone asked me before on what is the best and easiest busking karaoke setup? And the answer is so simple, The Bose S1 Pro. It has everything you need for a portable PA speaker. It's got built in reverb plus tonematch option for mic and instrument. It's got treble and bass eq and got three channels where you can dedicate channel 1 for your vocals then channel 2 for your instrument and then channel 3 for your backing tracks where you are able to connect to it wirelessly via bluetooth.

Now lets get to the specifics on how to setup your portable lightweight karaoke. You will need a decent mic either wireless or with a cable. Then your tablet or ipad for your karaoke tracks plus table or ipad stand. It's either a tripod or a tablet holder for mic stand if you are using a micstand. And that's about it. You can now jam along, sing along and party wherever because the Bose S1 Pro is very portable and rechargeable.

So enjoy the beautiful sound quality Bose has to offer and it's pretty loud as well so you can really enjoy your music and your audience will enjoy too.
